Watchdog to ask Akado about reported clients’ data exposure in Web

MOSCOW, Nov 6 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service will send an inquiry to Internet provider Akado, controlled by units of businessman Viktor Vekselberg, regarding reports on the publication of personal data of clients, an authority spokesperson said on November 3.

“The communications service will make the corresponding request,” the spokesperson said.

Reuters reported earlier in November, citing two IT experts and own research, that personal data of Akado’s clients had been exposed in the Internet, like names, phones, home addresses, including of politicians and businessmen residing in the prestigious Rublyovka area, the western Moscow.

An Akado spokesperson said the company does not release personal data of clients.
